Yeh Rishte Hain Pyaar Ke Story:
Misty Agarwal is a generous and down to earth young girl who is very broad-minded with her approach towards marriages. She grew up with an adopted family because her biological parents, Naman and Karishma had left her. The Maheshwari family treats her as one of their own and never makes her feel that she is adopted.
However, her sister, Kuhu is very eccentric in nature and doesn’t like her because she feels that her biological parents love Mishti more than her and she has snatched all her happiness. She wants to be independent and she believes that it is important to figure out if two people are compatible in a relationship before marriage otherwise the marriage won’t last.
One day, Misty and Kuhu get to meet two boys Kunal and Ketki. Kuhu starts liking Kunal at first sight and gets excited when Meenakshi approaches Kunal’s family for the marriage of Kuhu and Kunal. However, some misunderstanding arises, because of which Meenakshi declines the proposal of Kuhu and Kunal’s marriage and sends the proposal for Mishti instead.
This makes Kuhu more hateful towards Mishti. Since Mishti is against the idea of traditional arranged marriages in which the couple does not get a chance to know each other well before marriage and ends up with a lot of trouble later on, she asks for permission of a premarital courtship with Kunal. This makes Meenakshi infuriated, as she is very orthodox and decides to break the relationship of Mishti and Kunal by asking her to join Abir’s NGO, which would create misunderstanding between Kunal and Mishti.
While Mishti works at Abir’s NGO, he starts falling for Mishti and approaches her. On the other hand, Kunal and Mishti do not develop any chemistry which leads Mishti to believe that Kunal is not right for her as he doesn’t love her and breaks up with him. Soon, Mishti gets aware of Kuhu’s feelings about Kunal and Misty and Abir try to get them together.
Mishti also realises about Abir’s feelings towards her and they get into a relationship. But Meenakshi and Kunal doesn’t like that and plot different plans to separate them. And the story goes on about the life of the two lovers and their struggle to stay together in spite of people’s constant conspiracies to break them apart.

Yeh Rishte Hain Pyaar Ke Review:
Yeh Rishte Hain Pyaar Ke has become quite a hit among the fans. First of all, the show begins with an interesting concept, a female protagonist questions the orthodox tradition of quick arrange the marriage without taking into account the interests of the girl and boy. Apart from that on the starting episodes, the show also featured beautiful locations and amazing cinematography with a stubble focus on local culture making it appear lively on the screen.
The central theme of the show is the chemistry between the lead characters who are both very interesting in their own way. The character of Abir is also very interesting who is constantly reciting shayaris to depict his emotions on every occasion either happy or sad and clicking stunning pictures. He is very lively and carefree in his own way and deeply caring about Mishti. Obviously, Shaheer Sheikh’s handsome looks and beautifully written shayaris are an absolute bonus!
On the other hand, Rhea Sharma’s Mishti is a beautiful soul and a kind heart who makes soft rebellion against the wrongful traditions. Their beautiful chemistry is something which has kept the audience hooked on to this serial.
However, the beautiful romance between interesting character and the message of the show crushes under the huge baggage of extensive family drama which is typical for any other serial on Star Plus. It has typical villains who manipulate females and typical catfights between female characters for boys. The show is sometimes emotionally heavy and leaves little space for any humour or light moments.
If you are a sucker for romantic shows and are ready to bear some repetitive family drama for that, then this show is for you. You can watch it on Star Plus or log on to www.hotstar.com.
