Kalank movie review:
The epic love saga Dharma’s magnum opus KALANK is definitely worth a watch for its grandeur and spectacular storytelling. It’s a movie with a perfect cast and some fantastic and creative ideas. Don’t expect too much on the acting front- just go and watch it for the Romance, drama, and grandeur. It manages to keep you engaged throughout the film. Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt’s characters in this part were mostly uni-dimensional with a particular expression glued to their faces. Still, they proved effective in their roles.
The song Ghar More Pardesiya was sung beautifully by the melodious Shreya Ghoshal with Vaishali Made and music by Pritam and picturized spectacularly on Alia is the pick of the lot. The costumes and intricacies in the sets are just breathtaking. You will definitely discover a new way to fly through the landing may be quite a mess (LOL). Finally hats off to Abhishek Verman for dreaming it big and bringing it to life, onscreen, so wonderfully. He has given us something spectacular on a higher level. Madhuri Dixit was an epitome of grace in the song Tabaah Ho Gaye. She has proven to become the definition of dancing yet again. You cannot stop yourself from falling in love with her beauty & absolutely mesmerizing gaze. Kudos to Pritam Chakraborty, Shreya Ghoshal, Arijit Singh, Amitabh Bhattacharya and everyone else.
If you are watching Kalank make sure that you are going to watch a PERIOD FILM! It has an old school vibe about it. The team tried their best in making it relevant to today’s generation. It has some dramatic scenes, which are obvious to find in a PERIOD DRAMA movie. The climax was good. But yes every film has both dark and bright sides, so has KALANK.
The way four main characters and their secrets are portrayed is beyond praise. People who love stories are surely gonna love it. Kalank is about forbidden love & ends leaving one thinking for the central characters. Alia Bhatt who plays Roop & Varun Dhawan who plays Zafar, shine in their roles. Their chemistry is rattling and this helps make the love story even more intense and connectable.
Kalank, its perfect in all fronts, be it emotions, action, romance, dialogues, drama, sophistication and others, the storyline is not something we have not seen before, but simple and easy storyline made beautiful, extraordinary, clean is all applause.
Abhishek Verma has directed the movie so ardently, every scene says something, very thoughtful, all claps, and the acting, all actors who have done such a wonderful job, justified the characters completely, and expressions, well they all marvel at that. The music is so heartful and beautiful, it gets one going to Pritam as he is a great musician and Amitabh Bhattacharya.
This movie is surely worth your money.
