Batla House Synopsis
The movie is a thriller action film and is directed by Nikhil Advani. The latter has directed a number of hit police drama films like Airlift, Baazaar, Satyameva Jayate, and D-Day. The film is based on true events revolving the Batla operation. The movie stars John Abraham in the lead role, handling the entire operation (and taking the blame too). The movie is set to release on 15th August 2019.
Batla House Story
The operation took place on 19th September 2008 against IM terrorists ( Indian Mujahideen ). This story is based on the encounter which took place in Jamia Nagar, Delhi where two terrorists, Atif Ameen, and Mohammad Sajid, were killed while two other Mohammad Saif and Zeeshan, were arrested, while Ariz Khan managed to escape. The team was led by Mohan Chand Sharma who stumbled upon the entire group in L-18, Batla House.
The police stormed the house in the morning and killed two of the terrorists after heavy gunfire. All of them were reportedly terrorists and had links with Dubai ISIS leading to Delhi blasts. However, all five of them were dolled up as students. The entire operation was based on suspicions and hence the aftermath took a heavy toll on the entire police department.
After Shahzad’s sister appealed to the court on grounds of false accusations. The breeding ground of accusations heightened up when NGOs like “Act Now for harmony and democracy”, came forward to falsify the encounter and term the entire chaos as the incessant killing of students.
However, after investigation and FBI reports the police department was cleared off blame and the leader was given an Ashoka Chakra for bravery.

Batla House Review
John Abraham is the cop we need, but we don’t deserve it. His self righteous ways in dealing things carefully, precariously and scrutinizing each detail heavily before acting upon it are the needs of the nation. But how many cops of today can you name who do the same, barring a few?
The trailer started with the police investigating and breaking into the Batla House were presumably three students were “living” and studying for their exams. After a heavy gunfight and an ensuing encounter carried out, two dead bodies were fished out of the flats,
The aftermath of this gunning where the two terrorists were killed in the wake of the Delhi bomb blasts of 2008 which killed 26 people and injured 133, resulted in incessant chanting of how Delhi police suck and how they have successfully murdered two “innocent” students.
These accusations take a toll on Abraham’s life as he himself rises up a conflict within him, second-guessing himself whether what he did was based on gut or instinct? He soon starts hallucinating on how he killed two innocent students. He soon regains his calm with Thakur by his side.
She helps him throughout even if the media and his higher officials are increasing suspension pressure on him. Find out what happens next and if Abraham gets congratulated or convicted on the alleged murder-cum-encounter.
