With the Tamil film industry setting outstanding bars in storyline and film making, Game Over, released on 14th June 2019 marks the comeback of the actress Taapsee Pannu in Kollywood after a period of three years.
Game Over is an Indian Tamil, Telugu bilingual film which has appeared to be a perfect thrill and horror pack for the critics.
Though Taapsee Pannu may be the primary reason one would want to watch this film, the move is certainly not void of other reasons for which you would love it. Taapsee Pannu’s acting and Ashwin’s direction has been praised fairly by the critics.

According to public reaction Game Over totally Flop. Because, On its opening day performance, the film failed to have a remarkable beginning as it could earn merely Rs 0.50 lakh, Film critic and trade analyst Sumit Kadel tweeted, “#GameOver off to a DISASTROUS start at the box office. Shows getting canceled at many centers because of no audience.

Game Over Storyline:
The movie starts as a murder mystery which gradually paves its ways into horror. The film opens with a chilling murder scene and revolves around a woman Swapna (Taapsee Pannu) who is nyctophobic and suffers from anniversary effect.
Swapna is a strange character lives alone in her home with her attendant Kalama (Vinodhini Vaidyanathan) and barely steps out. Every year around the time of the new year day, Swapna experiences strange vibes around her and has weird thoughts and sensations.
As the movie shows an almost invisible criminal gone lose in the city and in the same period Swapna feeling a strange presence around her, the viewers have no option except anticipating about what is going to happen in the story.
Swapna’s life seems to be picture perfect at first but after the entry of Amudha (Sanchana Natarajan), it soon starts to appear like a game with various difficulty levels.
The storyline has been set up intricately with many details and is successful in keeping the audience engrossed until the end.
The story doesn’t follow any predictable paths and thus keeps the suspense alive. Well, too many details about the story will ruin the movie when you watch it so this is all about the storyline of the movie. The movie is worth a watch and the works of the story writers and direction and execution make it a treat for the audience.

With a rating of 8.2/10 by IMDb, Game over is a must watch if you are into a thriller. Taapsee Pannu being the major attraction of the movie, the direction and storyline will keep you involved throughout its run time.
The story which starts as a murder mystery gradually goes through so many ups and downs turning into a psychological horror. In movies like Pink, Badla and Manmarziyaan, Taapsee has proved herself to be an actress of various shades and she took the challenge well here too.
With Taapsee’s performance and Ashwin’s direction, Game Over has come out to be an incredible piece of art by the southern film industry.
It is an all women world where men hardly seem to exist. The way the story revolves around a woman who in spite of being afraid of almost everything fights off her inner demons for survival in the game of her life.
The new way of combining with Indian concepts with the western ways depicted in the movie is a welcome change in the film industry.
The movie has an intricate storyline which clearly shows the hard work and skills of the framers and with the way the suspense opens up layer by layer, they have succeeded in keeping the audience engrossed throughout the story.
Altogether Game Over has come out a movie that has not taken the public for granted and is capable of startling the audience many times in its course and the last minutes can even make some of them bite their fingernails. Regardless of the box office collection of the Hindi version of the movie, it is worth a watch if you enjoy thrill and suspense.
