For the extreme hotness of summer, holidays are temporarily distributed in the educational institutions. As well as natural disasters like cyclone can come. And for safety, distribution of holidays is natural.

RECENT DECISION TAKEN BY WEST BENGAL GOVT :

State government and government-assisted schools have announced two months leave.  There is a debate in this direction of the school education secretary.

REASON GIVEN BY WEST BENGAL GOVT FOR THIS DECISION :

The government has also requested the ICSC, CBSC schools to give a 2 Month leave. Education Minister said that there is extreme hotness in the districts, water cannot be found in many places.  So, this extra holiday is being considered for everyone’s benefit. However, he said that these extra holidays are available only for school students, Not for Teachers and others who work in Schools. They have to come to school on a regular basis.

STATEMENTS HAS ASISEN AGAINST THIS DECISION :

But the question arises, how the examination syllabus will be covered if the school closes for two months, as well as what the teachers will do in the free school while the school is closed.

ABTA SCHOOL SOCIETY has strongly condemned this decision. Almost all the educators of WEST BENGAL Are against this decision.  Everyone decides that such a decision disrupts the educational environment in the state.  They demanded that the decision should be reviewed.

WEST BENGAL TEACHER’S ASSOCIATION’S GENERAL SECRETARY has said that this type of decision is not acceptable at all. This decision is just destroying the educational atmosphere.

PRIVATE SCHOOL AUTHORITY AND THEIR DECISION :

ICSC Board Secretary Jerry Erathune said that the decision to leave will be left to the concerned schools.  However, most of the state’s private schools will not accept this decision.  In August, most of the schools started taking exams in different forms.  So it is not possible to give 2 months leave because they have a responsibility to finish their syllabus before the exam.

But the WEST BENGAL EDUCATION DEPARTMENT did not take any initiative to withdraw this decision.
