What is IAS.?
IAS (Indian administrative service) is a dream job to many of the youth aspirants nowadays. To be an IAS officer one has to go through a rigorous process of three stage exam that is conducted every year by UPSC.
Whats is UPSC.?
UPSC(Union public service commission) is an authority that deals with the recruitment process of an IAS officer and other group-A central service officers. UPSC conducts exam every year to fill the vacancies of the bureaucrats in the government department.
UPSC has declared the result of the 2018-CSE in which a total of 759 candidates were declared qualified in the exam. Out of which a tot of 180 candidates will be selected for IAS, 30 for IFS, 150 for IPS and the rest will be recruited in group-A central services.

Kanishka Kataria has topped the list with an AIR-1, followed by Akshat Jain, Junaid Ahmad and Shreyans Kumar have secured the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th ranks respectively. This means that all top 4 positions in the Civil Service Exam have been secured by the male candidate. The All India Rank 5 has been secured by Srushti Jayant Deshmukh, who’s also the topper among female candidates. Out of the top 10 rankers of UPSC Civil Services Exam, 7 are male while 3 are female candidates.
Those candidates who have cleared the exam are expected to serve the nation with full integrity and honesty. They all are getting the platform to bring a positive change in the society as an administrator where they are the one who will implement all the policies of the government and work on the ground level to upliftment the people of our society.
