Deepika Padukone was born on 5 January 1986. She was born in Copenhagen, Denmark to Konkani speaking people. However, she was raised in Bangalore. Deepika was born to Prakash Padukone and Ujjala couple. Prakash Padukone is a former professional badminton player. Deepika’s mother, Ujjala is a travel agent. Also, she has a younger sister, Anisha, a golfer. Ramesh Padukone, her paternal grandfather was a secretary of the Mysore Badminton Association.
SCHOOLING AND COLLEGE LIFE OF DEEPIKA
Deepika’s schooling was almost done at Bangalore. She was educated at Bangalore’s Sophia High School. At that time she played badminton in National Level Championships. ACTING CAREER OF DEEPIKA PADUKONE
Like she fancied, she received offers for film roles. She made her first appearance on a big screen in 2006. Her debut film was Aishwarya. Starring Upendra, Daisy Boppana, Deepika Padukone. It’s a Kannada film. It is the remake of the Telugu film Manmadhudu. This film broke several box office records. Later she made her debut in Bollywood through the film OM SHANTI OM. It is a non-profit NGO organization to create awareness on mental issues and mental health in India. The foundation teamed up with Facebook and the AASRA organization to support people with suicidal tendencies. Deepika is the Brand Ambassador for the NGO Indian Psychiatric Society. On the first anniversary of the foundation, they launched a video and poster campaign dedicated to the victims and survivors of depression.
Deepika is the new chairperson of the Mumbai Academy of the Moving Image. She is a prominent contributor to several brands and products. Two years later she collaborated with MYNTRA to launch another line under her brand.
